Worsall Village Hall
Folk Dancing
Who we are
Worsall Folk Dance Group is a “not-for profit” sociable group of people that meet to further the knowledge and enjoyment of English Folk Dancing.
What do we do?
Our well attended weekly classes are led by some of our more experienced group members, who take turns to lead the dancing for an evening.
We dance a wide variety of dances and styles, which range from the court dances of the 15th century to dances composed in 21st century.
Many dances are English in origin, but some come from USA and other countries where British dance traditions have taken root.
There is an interval when a hot drink and biscuits are provided. All this is provided for only £2.00 per person per night!
When do we meet?
We meet on Tuesday evenings in Worsall Village Hall from 7.15 pm between September and June.
Who can participate?
Membership is open to adults of all ages. Beginners with no previous English Folk Dance experience are welcome. It is not necessary to come with a partner.
