Susan combines a 30 year career in Education with teaching yoga classes the Yarm area.
She is qualified with two yoga organisations and has been teaching locally for 10 years. Susan is now undertaking further training to qualify as a yoga teacher trainer. Yoga has been proven to improve flexibility, strength and co-ordination. Students come to classes for many reasons, to improve fitness, relieve an injury or to keep joints mobile. Many of them join to relieve the symptoms of stress.
Yoga has been shown to be effective in reducing high blood pressure, relaxing muscular tension and quietening the mind.
Classes are suitable for those who are new to yoga and for the more experienced. We work gently through a sequence of breathing, preparation movements, postures and relaxation. Each aspect can be modified to suit individual needs.
The groups are very welcoming, relaxed, friendly and totally non-competitive.
