Worsall Village Hall

The official grand opening of the Village Hall was held on 21st March 2009 in the presence of Dame Tani Grey Thompson. Over 200 villagers and supporters from the neighbourhood attended a lively social occasion.

The chairman, Howard Leigh spoke of all the hard work and financial support that had gone into the project by the community and supporters of the regular user groups from years prior to the demolition of the unsafe old hall through to the recent completion of the new hall. He made special mention of the Project Team Coordinator, Vivienne Targett and the Architect, Ian McGregor. In declaring the Hall officially open Dame Tani congratulated everyone on the undoubted teamwork that goes into the making of successful ventures such as this.
